Ralph F. Twilley Celebrates 40 Years with Shore United Bank

Mr. Twilley began his career with Centreville National Bank in February of 1978. Mr. Twilley joined our lending team as a loan officer and continues to serve the community through his lending expertise today. Currently, Mr. Twilley is a Vice President, Commercial Lender, focusing on meeting customers personal and commercial lending needs. His office is located at our branch in Stevensville, MD.

Ralph graduated from Salisbury State College in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Mr. Twilley completed Maryland Bankers School in 1982. With the goal of continuing his education, he graduated from the Maryland Executive School of Banking in 2007.

“Ralph is an exceptional member of the lending team. His knowledge and experience are an asset to the loan process for all his customers. We are fortunate to have Ralph on our team for the past 40 years,” said Heather Bacher, Market Manager of Shore United Bank.

Mr. Twilley currently serves as a board member for the Queen Anne’s County Chamber of Commerce and Mid-Shore Pro Bono. Ralph is a past board member for the Queen Anne’s County Little League, the Queen Anne’s County Free Library, and the Centreville United Methodist Church.

Shore United Bank Welcomes Ed Dillon, Branch Manager

Mr. Dillon graduated from York College of Pennsylvania where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing.

Shore United Bank Welcomes Tracy Berrigan as Branch Manager

Shore United Bank, a member of Shore Bancshares community of companies, is excited to announce that Tracy Berrigan has joined the company as the Branch Manager of our Dover Street location in Easton, Maryland. Tracy joins Shore United Bank with 37 years of banking experience and management.

Ms. Berrigan is a graduate of the Community College of Baltimore County and holds a degree in business administration. She has also attended several courses and seminars through the Maryland Bankers Association including, deposit documentation, bank regulations and loan underwriting.

“Tracy is a great addition to the team at Dover Street. Her enthusiasm and her love for helping people go hand in hand when it comes to her leadership style that she demonstrates in the branch every day” says Jennifer Joseph, Chief Retail Banking Officer of Shore United Bank.

Ms. Berrigan serves on the Executive Board of the Talbot Chamber of Commerce, Board of Director for Friends of Hospice and the Brighter Christmas Fund and also serves as the Treasurer of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Denton.

Ms. Berrigan resides in Denton, Maryland with her husband, Tim.

William (Bill) Lane, Jr. Celebrates 35 years with Avon-Dixon Insurance Agency

Mr. Lane began his career with Avon-Dixon in 1982 as an insurance sales and service representative for personal and commercial insurance products. Mr. Lane is currently a Senior Executive Vice-President and works with insurance products that assist clients with asset protection and wealth management. Mr. Lane is certified in insurance counseling and risk management.

Mr. Pryor is a graduate of the University of Delaware and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.

Prior to joining Wye Financial & Trust, Mr. Pryor worked with Wilmington Trust, in the advisory services industry focusing on personal trusts; and four years with Bank of Oklahoma Financial managing retirement and investment accounts for local businesses.

Shore Bancshares Merges Banking Divisions into Shore United Bank

Shore Bancshares, Inc., at its annual meeting discussed its plan to merge its two subsidiary banks, The Talbot Bank, headquartered in Easton, Maryland and CNB, headquartered in Centreville, Maryland, into one bank that will be known as Shore United Bank. “Merging our two banks provides efficiencies that will allow us to focus on strengthening client relationships while minimizing the ever increasing burden of regulation that banks face today,” said Shore Bancshares, Inc. President & CEO, Lloyd L. “Scott” Beatty.

The merger of the Talbot Bank with and into CNB and the corresponding name change to Shore United Bank is subject to regulatory approval. Applications for approval of the proposed merger have been or will be filed with the State of Maryland and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. Shore Bancshares is not currently aware of any reasons that would preclude consummation of the merger. Subject to the satisfaction of all regulatory and corporate requirements and approvals, Shore Bancshares currently anticipates consummating the merger in the third quarter of 2016.

As a $1.1 billion bank, Shore United Bank will continue to operate all 18 existing branches, a loan production office, and wealth management office throughout the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and Delaware. “Customers will now have the convenience of conducting all banking activity, not just account transactions, at any of our branch locations. The Shore United brand will make it easier for customers to recognize their bank,” said Shore Bancshares, Inc., V.P. Chief Marketing & Project Officer, Debra Rich. The Talbot Bank and CNB have been affiliated as members of Shore Bancshares, Inc. community of companies since 2000. The combination is intended to facilitate operational efficiencies, a consistent culture and united branding under Shore United Bank. “Our banks have a rich history that will continue with the same great people, products and service under a new name, Shore United Bank,” Beatty said.

CNB: Promotion of Cassandra Guy to Vice President

CNB, a member of Shore Bancshares community of companies, is pleased to announce that Cassandra “Cassie” A. Guy has been promoted to Vice President, Compliance Officer.

Cassie will be responsible for managing, administering and coordinating the compliance program for all areas of the bank. She also supervises and manages the credit administration department to ensure accurate and timely processing of loan documents.

Ms. Guy earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Mary Washington in 1986 and graduated from the Maryland Banking School with honors in 2010.

Prior to joining CNB, Ms. Guy worked for Maryland National Bank as a Teller and then New Account Representative/Personal Banker. She joined CNB in 1995 as a Consumer Loan Officer. She was promoted to Branch Manager of the Rt 213 branch in 1998 until 2013 when she took on the role of Compliance Officer.

“Cassie has shown exceptional leadership qualities and has a proven track record in the banking industry”, says Ed Allen, President and CEO of CNB. “We are excited to have Cassie lead our team at CNB.”

Ms. Guy resides in Cordova, MD with her husband, Robert, and their three children. She is active in her community as a board member of the Queen Anne’s County Mentoring Partnership, a secretary for the Queen Anne’s County 4-H Fair and member of the fundraising committee for Claws for a Cause.
