Lights, Camera, Save! Teen Video Contest Underway at Shore United Bank

Shore United Bank is accepting submissions for its Lights, Camera, Save! video contest.  The contest, organized by the American Bankers Association Foundation, is a national competition that encourages teens to use video to communicate the value of saving money and inspire their peers to become lifelong savers.

“Lights, Camera, Save! gives Delmarva students an opportunity to harness their creativity, learn about using money wisely and communicate those lessons with their peers,” said Pat Bilbrough, President & CEO of Shore United Bank. “A strong financial education is critical to a successful future and we are thrilled to participate in a contest that reinforces that message.”

To participate, students (ages 13-18) must create a video, 90-seconds or less, on saving and using money wisely and submit a link to the video along with a completed entry form to the bank by Dec. 3.

Shore United Bank will host the first round of judging and select a winner to compete on the national level for a prize up to $5,000, plus a scholarship for a teacher at their school to attend the annual Jump$tart National Educator Conference.

Videos will be judged on their quality, message, content and the criteria set forth by the contest’s official rules.

Brenda L. Wooden Celebrates 30 Years with Shore United Bank

Ms. Wooden began her career in 1988 as a bookkeeper for The Talbot Bank and has held various other positions as a customer service representative, assistant branch manager and branch manager. Currently, Ms. Wooden is an Assistant Vice President, Floating Manager offering assistance to branches who need additional support.

With the goal to continue her education, Brenda is a graduate of Maryland Bankers School in 2005 and Shore Leadership in 2014.

Ms. Wooden resides in Easton, MD and consistently gives back to her local community. She is a board member of the Frederick Douglass Honor Society, a member of Soroptimist International of Talbot County and Talbot Special Riders, Inc. She enjoys reading, volunteering in the community and spending time with her daughter, Brianna and her grandson, Keegan.

Ralph F. Twilley Celebrates 40 Years with Shore United Bank

Shore United Bank, a member of Shore Bancshares community of companies, is proud to recognize Ralph Twilley for his 40 years of dedicated service. Mr. Twilley began his career with Centreville National Bank in February of 1978. Mr. Twilley joined our lending team as a loan officer and continues to serve the community through his lending expertise today. Currently, Mr. Twilley is a Vice President, Commercial Lender, focusing on meeting customers personal and commercial lending needs. His office is located at our branch in Stevensville, MD.

Ralph graduated from Salisbury State College in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Mr. Twilley completed Maryland Bankers School in 1982. With the goal of continuing his education, he graduated from the Maryland Executive School of Banking in 2007.

“Ralph is an exceptional member of the lending team. His knowledge and experience are an asset to the loan process for all his customers. We are fortunate to have Ralph on our team for the past 40 years,” said Heather Bacher, Market Manager of Shore United Bank.

Mr. Twilley currently serves as a board member for the Queen Anne’s County Chamber of Commerce and Mid-Shore Pro Bono. Ralph is a past board member for the Queen Anne’s County Little League, the Queen Anne’s County Free Library, and the Centreville United Methodist Church.

Ms. Berrigan is a graduate of the Community College of Baltimore County and holds a degree in business administration. She has also attended several courses and seminars through the Maryland Bankers Association including, deposit documentation, bank regulations and loan underwriting.

“Tracy is a great addition to the team at Dover Street. Her enthusiasm and her love for helping people go hand in hand when it comes to her leadership style that she demonstrates in the branch every day” says Jennifer Joseph, Chief Retail Banking Officer of Shore United Bank.

Ms. Berrigan serves on the Executive Board of the Talbot Chamber of Commerce, Board of Director for Friends of Hospice and the Brighter Christmas Fund and also serves as the Treasurer of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Denton.

Ms. Berrigan resides in Denton, Maryland with her husband, Tim.

William (Bill) Lane, Jr. Celebrates 35 years with Avon-Dixon Insurance Agency

Mr. Lane began his career with Avon-Dixon in 1982 as an insurance sales and service representative for personal and commercial insurance products. Mr. Lane is certified in insurance counseling and risk management.

Mr. Pryor is a graduate of the University of Delaware and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.

Prior to joining Wye Financial & Trust, Mr. Pryor worked with Wilmington Trust, in the advisory services industry focusing on personal trusts; and four years with Bank of Oklahoma Financial managing retirement and investment accounts for local businesses.

“Colin is a welcome addition to our Wealth Management team.  He brings personal trust and corporate asset management experience that will benefit our clients,” said Wye Financial & Trust Manager, Talli Oxnam.
