It is a mystery to me that our community should be such an easy mark for UMMS exploitation.
You don’t suppose we have inept elected leadership and media coverage/advocacy.
Or is it the larger fact that we are unable to play hardball because our rural culture
does not support vigorous reply in kind.
Or is it all of the above.

That is interesting in that what is in all likelihood our largest newspaper even noticed something besides Ocean City.. I have written a letter to the Honorable Larry Hogan, Governor of Maryland and was pleasantly surprised with is his response. While not going into details, he did say he was interested enough to have his staff investigate our plight and he would be getting back to me. If you really want to keep our hospital, may I suggest that you too write to the Governor and politely explain our predicament. Tell him why we need the hospital.
