On Tuesday, September 16, Hospice of Queen Anne’s welcomed hospice volunteers from Kent and Caroline county to mix and mingle with staff and to learn more about how they can continue to volunteer for hospice in their communities. In expanding hospice services into Kent and Caroline counties, Hospice of Queen Anne’s looks forward retaining the support of experienced volunteers who have been hospice champions for their friends and neighbors.
At the event, guests enjoyed a complimentary breakfast and received tours of the Hospice Center. “Volunteers are the heart of hospice. It was a pleasure meeting with these volunteers and I look forward to working with them as they continue to give back to their communities,” says Hospice of Queen Anne’s Manager of Volunteer and Professional Services, Courtney Williams.
Plans are being made to offer hospice volunteer training sessions in Kent and Caroline Counties.
