Nothing screams “end of summer” like a harrowing and comedic Cardboard Boat Regatta! This wonderful silliness —all for a great cause—was floated by Washington College’s Center for the Environment and Society during their 8th Annual Waterfront Festival, as a part of their Fall Family Weekend.
Live music from the Michael Butler Band kept the afternoon rocking as students, family member, and visitors celebrated the perfect weather and enjoyed vendor food, ice cream, educational displays, tours aboard the Center’s research boat and the famous Phi Delta Theta Crab Fest.
Here are a few minutes of the rollicking race emceed by Jim Landskroener.
