University of Maryland Shore Regional Health has announced the appointment of Susan Coe, vice president of Human Resources, and Michele E. Wilson, vice president of Physician Services.
Susan Coe came to UM Shore Regional Health from University of Maryland Medical System, where she served as system director of employee and labor relations. She has extensive executive management and consulting experience in health care, human resources, organizational design and development, and operations and enterprise infrastructure. Prior to joining UMMS, Coe served the American Nurses Association (ANA) for three years as chief human resources officer, process innovation & organization development.
Other leadership positions Coe has held during her 25-year career include vice president for human resources for Bravo Health in Baltimore and for The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., and director of human resources for Greater Baltimore Medical Center and of Seton Medical Group, both in Baltimore. She also served as manager, executive compensation/benefits for the Johns Hopkins Health System and as senior compensation analyst in the University of Maryland Medical System’s Office of Human Resource Services.
In 2012, Coe was honored as recipient of the Individual Human Resources Leadership Award for HR Innovation by the Human Resources Leadership Association of Greater Washington. Her professional memberships include the Human Resources Planning Society, the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the American Society of Training and Development.
Michele Wilson joined UM Shore Regional Health in 2012 as director of operations for the physician multispecialty enterprise, UM Shore Medical Group. In that position, Wilson was responsible for the management of 25 physician practices in five counties, as well as strategic project management; planning for the expansion of services and utilization at UM Shore Medical Pavilion at Queenstown; operations related to the inclusion of new physician practices as they joined UM Shore Regional Health; development of the Convenient Care Center in Denton; and the development of a quality program and patient satisfaction tracking system for UM Shore Medical Group.
For four years prior to joining UM Shore Regional Health, Wilson was vice president for practice management and network development at St. Francis Hospital/Catholic Health East in Wilmington, Delaware. She also held director-level positions at Christiana Care Health System and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Delaware. She is an Executive Fellow of the Health Advisory Board in Washington, D.C., and a Kellogg Executive Fellow of Northwestern University. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the National Medical Group Management Association.
