Amos is an award winning artist whose images can capture the imagination or provide rare insights into human interactions and those of the natural world. Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, he began working as a professional photographer in the 1960s, leaving a position at Eastman Kodak for the full-time pursuit of making pictures. As a regular contributor to the National Geographic Society, he was twice named Magazine Photographer of the Year by the National Press Photographers Association. His work has also gained him awards from the White House News Photographers Association. One of Amos’ images was recently selected for an international stamp to be released by the United States Postal Service this year. ### Web/Calendars On Saturday Dec. 1st from 11 am to 12 pm, the Queen Anne’s County Arts Council invites the public to meet photographer James L.
