The Spy stopped in to an orchestra rehearsal  at the Garfield Center for tonight’s final National Music Conference concert at Washington College (apparently the college space was unavailable) and took a few pictures.[slideshow id=141]

If you have yet to attend a  concert there are still three opportunities to do so today, Saturday June 16; two are free and the third is a quite affordable $15. You might want to purchase tickets online, we’ll bet it will be a standing room only performance. Click here to purchase

Letters to Editor

  1. Janice D says

    June 17, 2012 at 8:32 AM

Chestertown has been so blessed to have the National Music Festival shower us with their amazing music. We hosted an apprentice who was quiet as a mouse, except when practicing her French horn on the back deck. Practice makes perfect, and this sounded just perfect from the beginning. We were also fortunate to have the most unbelievably beautiful weather. Many thanks to Caitlin Patton for bringing this wonderful event to Chestertown. I for one look forward to next year’s festival with great anticipation. Next year I shall put aside my pedestrian views and attend the saxaphone quartet presentation, assuming that they will return. Thank you again to all the people and institutions who made this possible.
