On Wednesday, January 25th the Washington College Republicans will host a film showing of “Atlas Shrugged” at Litrenta Lecture Hall of the John Toll Science Center, Washington College, at 7:00 pm.
The film, which came out in 2011, is an adaptation of part of Ayn Rand’s 1957 novel. It begins the story of Atlas Shrugged, set in a dystopian United States where John Galt leads innovators, from industrialists to artists, to go on strike, “stopping the motor of the world” to reassert the importance of the free use of the mind and of free market capitalism.
