Thanks in part to Town Council member Gibson Anthony’s persistent efforts for a more bike-friendly community, Chestertown is starting to include dedicated bike lanes. The first example of these bike paths can be found on High Street Extension, which was added last week as part of the High Street’s resurfacing project. While signs indicating the bike lane will be painted later in the year, The Spy congratulates the Town for this important first step.

This is wonderful, but don’t know how it will be done on Washington Ave which is a very “scary” place to ride when you get by Hogans and going north with no space for bikes. Thanks for the effort!
