On the banks of the Chester, just two hundred yards from each other’s studios, Marcy Ramsey and Marilee Schumann, friends and neighbors for over twenty-five years, find support and encouragement from each other as they develop their art. This special relationship influences their work in subtle ways drawing inspiration from their almost daily chats about children, families, politics and environmental concerns. Their art is currently on display at the Carla Massoni Gallery in Chestertown.

Lovely. Marcy and Marilee are two of our area’s artistic treasures as well as two really great people and it’s terrific to see them ‘sung.’
