On Sunday, October 2, at 10 a.m., Mr. Joseph Moore will give a sermon entitled “’Alternatives to Violence Project’ in the Middle East” for the Unitarian Universalists of the Chester River, 914 Gateway Dr., Chestertown. Joe Moore recently completed his tenth trip to the Middle East, where he and a colleague conduct AVP (Alternatives to Violence Project) workshops. Having worked with Palestinians in the West Bank/Gaza and Israelis mostly in Jerusalem/Tel Aviv, he has recently begun facilitating sessions where Palestinians and Israelis come together. Joe will talk about his experiences, joys, concerns, and plans for the future. Special music for the service will be performed by Joe Moore and Philip Dutton.
Religious Exploration class for youngsters as well as childcare for infants and toddlers will be available during the service.
