He’s one part Yellow Lab, one part Loverboy, and 100% available at HSKC! Tubman is gorgeous inside and out, and he knows it. He was surrendered to HSKC because his former owners didn’t like the way he acted when they trimmed his nails. He didn’t waste his energy being upset when his owners left. After all, what was the point? He knew he deserved better, and it was time to move on.
Three-year-old Tubman finds his days at the shelter quite entertaining. He loves watching all of the commotion, and he’s quite social; Tubman enjoys hanging out with dogs and cats as well as people of all ages. He’s generally a happy guy, except when he’s left alone in his kennel for long periods. Don’t ask him to admit it publicly, but he cries sometimes when he’s all by himself. He relies on his dreams to keep him company, hoping at least one of them comes to life: the one where he is romping around in a backyard with children and a family of his very own.
This Lab mix is already house-trained and walks well on a leash. He responds to commands and would fit nicely into any active home. Will you be the lucky one to give this great catch a home for the holidays? Stop by HSKC and meet Tubman soon!
