University of Maryland Chester River Health Foundation will host an informative seminar, “Estate Planning and Income Tax Considerations – What’s Ahead for 2015 and Beyond,” on Saturday, January 24 from 10 a.m. until noon in the Conference Center at UM Shore Medical Center at Chestertown, located at 100 Brown Street.
Guest presenters are Eugenia Cooper Wootton, Esq., Partner, Rasin & Wootton, LLC Law Office, and Sally Camp of the Fiduciary’s Friend, LLC.
Wootton, a graduate of Gettysburg College and University of Baltimore School of Law, joined Rasin & Wootton, LLC, in 1984 after practicing at Adkins, Potts & Smethurst in Salisbury. She represents clients in the areas of real estate, wills, estates, probate and general business law.
Camp earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from James Madison University, where she graduated cum laude. She formed The Fiduciary’s Friend, LLC, in 1999 after seventeen years of working for law firm tax departments as an estate administrator and fiduciary accountant. In her current role, Camp provides accounting services to law firms and individuals needing support for estate administrations, trust administrations, non-profit and charitable organization management, guardianship proceedings and estate planning. She also provides tax preparation and accounting services to individuals, estates, trusts, small businesses, non-profit and charitable organizations, serving clients located in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
This informational seminar will touch on estate planning practices, changes in Maryland estate tax laws, expiring provisions of the Internal Revenue Code, and the use of charitable giving for income and estate tax relief.
