Food and Garden Food and Garden Food Notes

Local Food by KCHS Students at Fujita Film

September 20, 2011 by ShoreFoward Staff

Since the film, Cafeteria Man, is focused on cafeteria food, kids, and health, it’s most appropriate that Chef John Keller’s students in the Kent County Culinary Arts Program at Kent County High School will be cooking for the showing at The Prince Theater this Sunday at 5:30 during the Chesapeake Film Festival.  The culinary students will be using local ingredients and producing:

Yellow Fin Potato and Leek Quiche and a Salad of Arugula, roasted sweet peppers, and goat cheese.

The Prince Theatre · 210 High Street, Chestertown

Tickets $10 adults, $8 students, $5 for 13 years and under

Part of the proceeds of ticket sales will help support Colchester Farm CSA food education programs. Tickets can either be purchased at the event or pre-purchased online. For more information about this event: Chesapeake Film Festival’s Cafeteria Man
