Maple Dam Rd. Flood by Lesley Giles

Ironman has come to Cambridge and Main Street Gallery caught the fever! The co-op gallery’s fourteen member artists have honored the athletes and their supporters with an exciting new show called “Iron Roads: Circles in Motion”. Look for works in this show that reflect and capture the energy of the whirling, circling motions made by the bikers and their bikes as they ride our county roads. Some of the artists have used actual bike parts to create unique, kinetic sculptures. Some of the paintings in the show depict the byways along which the bikers and runners race. Also on view in this exhibit are drawings, photographs, sculptures, ceramics, mixed media work and furniture. “Iron Roads: Circles in Motion” runs through October 30th. There will be an artist’s reception on second Saturday, October 8 from 5 to 9 pm. The reception is free and open to the public and light refreshments will be served. Main Street Gallery is located at 518 Poplar St., in Cambridge, directly across from Jimmie and Sooks Restaurant. Parking is on the street or in the lot behind the gallery. For more information contact the gallery’s website at: www.mainstgallery.org or phone the gallery at: 410-330-4659.
