Spy Eye: Short Attention Span Theatre Surveillance

June 30, 2016 by The Spy

Share

The Spy always looks forward to Short Attention Span Theater at the Garfield Center for the Arts.  It may say something about our own short attention span, but it also is a wonderful way to enjoy live theater during the summer months when our concentration skills are so limited.

Now, for the twelfth  year in a row. Short Attention Span Theatre once again offers an evening of 10-minute plays, designed to hold one’s attention for just long enough. The plays feature a multitude of local actors, directors and authors, as well as the world premiere of original works by local playwrights.

We were able to get a local spy to grab some terrific images of the cast as they prepare for their short moments on the stage.

Produced by Short Attention Span Theatre veterans Diane Landskroener and Mark Sullivan, this year’s selections range from the thought-provoking to the absurd.

Short Attention Span Theatre can serve as a launching pad for local playwrights as it did for Sullivan and his original piece “I Had That Dream Again” which premiered in 2011.

The curtain will go up at the Garfield Center, 210 High Street, for the remaining show dates on July 1st & 2nd @ 8pm, July 3rd @ 3pm, July 8th & 9th @ 8pm, July 10th @3pm  For ticket information please go here
