The Board of Directors and Theatre Manager Tess Hogans are thrilled to announce that Sarah Lyle has joined the staff as the new Event Coordinator at the Garfield Center for the Arts. Sarah is replacing the position that was held for almost 5 years by Andy Goddard, who left to start as the Executive Director at RiverArts.

Screen Shot 2016-06-02 at 9.24.58 AM“After reviewing all of the applicants, it was apparent that Sarah was the best choice, because of her extensive experience in a very similar job.” Says Hogans. “Andy left some large shoes to fill, but we are confident that Sarah will be a perfect fit for us. We were so appreciative that so many applied for the position. It was nice to know that people in the community understand what a neat place we have here!”

Lyle adds, “I am thrilled to have this opportunity. I look forward to using my skills in project management while working with the Garfield staff and its patrons. This is an exciting time for the arts in Chestertown and throughout Kent County, and I am looking forward to facilitating partnerships within the community. “

Lyle comes to the Garfield after working as the Program Coordinator for the Queen Anne’s County Arts Council, and brings years of experience in the arts and administration to the theatre. She will be working directly under Hogans, coordinating rentals and partnerships with the rest of the theatre staff. She is a Washington College graduate, and resides in Church Hill. She is thrilled to be back in Chestertown.
