One highlight coming out of last night’s very routine meeting of the Chestertown Town Council was Ward 4 Councilman Marty Stetson’s proposal to rename the Chestertown Marina to a more suitable title for the waterside public space.
Citing concerns that the current name gives the false impression that the Chestertown Marina is a fully operating facility and could also negatively impact local commercial marinas in the area that do offer those services.
The Council will consider the Stetson proposal later this spring.

Marty Stetson says
Thanks Spy for running this video. I have had several people tell me they saw it and thought the name change is an excellent idea. Now my task is to convince the other members of the Council to make the change to that of a more appropriate name. One that describes what is going to be achieved when the waterfront area has been completed.
