Absolutely, a big thank you to President Bair for an making an accurate case for WC. As I’ve mentioned to a few folks and on a couple of online venues; I think we need to create a local think tank to explore the possibility of taking the hospital back to community stewardship. Until recent times, that was the way it was done in Kent County and it worked. Can it be done? That is a complex question. Judging by the amazing turnout at Sunday’s public meeting, it’s pretty clear that the community stands firm on keeping our hospital alive.
Dr O’Connor … a big thank you for your honest and informative assessment. Keep up the good work ! We need you.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU DR. BAIR.
There are several reasons I relocated to this area 17 years ago, the most important being the proximity of a small, friendly hospital, with a staff of competent doctors, nurses, technicians etc. I THOUGHT we had it all. Apparently not.
I vehemently oppose the decline and ultimately the elimination of Chester River Hosp.
(in Chestertown, KENT Co. Md.) It’s time for politicians to start thinking of “WE THE PEOPLE” who elected them rather than the financial power bestowed upon them. Come on, citizens of Kent Co. (and beyond.) Write letters, make phone calls, etc We must beat this intrusion in our lives.
