It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at UM Shore Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Chestertown, thanks to Dianne Hill, activities coordinator, who has been keeping the Center’s staff, rehab patients and long-term care patients busy with a number of decorating projects. No less than eight Christmas trees and several holiday bulletin boards now brighten the Center’s hallways, dining room, cafe and other common areas.
Hill joined UM Shore Nursing and Rehab at Chestertown after seven years at Heron Point, four serving as activities coordinator for assisted living and skilled nursing residents, and three in dining services. Prior to her service at Heron Point, Hill was co-owner of Black Eyed Susan Restaurant and Catering. She recently earned her B.S. degree in Liberal Studies with a minor in Social Work from Kaplan University and is continuing her studies in music therapy.
“We are so pleased to have Dianne on board with us,” says Stewart Seitz, director, UM Shore Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Chestertown. “She has the perfect combination of work experience and personal and professional skills for the position, and also a high level of energy and enthusiasm that our staff, patients and families greatly appreciate.”
