People might not know that one of Chestertown’s favorite performers does indeed have a day job. The Spy learned the other day that Pam Ortiz had been honored by the state of Maryland for doing that job.
She has been awarded the Benjamin L. Cardin Distinguished Service Award recognizes outstanding public interest attorneys who are regularly involved in providing, promoting, or managing civil legal services. MLSC’s 2015 honorees are Pamela Cardullo Ortiz of the Access to Justice Department, Administrative Office of the Courts, and Maureen A. Sweeney of the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.
Nice.

A well deserved honor for an outstanding citizen of Chestertown – we are so fortunate to have her share her unique talents and those of her equally deserving husband , Bob.

I figure they might run out of awards to give you!
