The 2015 “Thursdays in the Park” Free Concert Series kicks off on June 25th at Millstream Park with Wheelhouse. Pack a picnic basket and experience the high energy of emerging local band. With an ever-growing catalog of great music spanning four decades, there is sure to be something on their playlist for everyone. Millstream Park is located in Centreville Maryland.
July 2nd grab your cowboy hat and get that Independence Day Celebration started with a taste of country! Local favorites 21 HORSES will bring a taste of country to the Chesapeake Heritage and Visitors Center located in Kent Narrows. With deep roots here on the Shore; they will deliver a well-paced energetic show with a variety of material that will appeal to everyone! Come enjoy the picturesque setting and be ready to dance! Food and beverages will be available for sale.
July 16th get your flip flops on and experience the Chris Sacks Band at Hemingway’s. Come and enjoy a creative blend of breezy Country Beach Rock, Americana and folk with influences of Jimmy Buffett, The Rolling Stones, Bob Marley, and Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers. The Kent Island Yacht Club is located in Kent Narrows, Chester Maryland. Food and beverages will be available for sale.
August 6th we welcome award winning local band Hot Tub Limo as we head to the Chesapeake Heritage and Visitors Center in Kent Narrows. Winner of Maryland Cover Band of the Year for 2014, their specialties include Spacehog, Third Eye Blind, Bruno Mars, the Zac Brown Band and The Black Eyed Peas. Specializing in today’s hits; Hot Tub Limo’s fusion of different musical tastes, and facial hair really fuels their desire to entertain their audiences – you won’t want to miss this one!
Join us for a special evening for the whole family on August 20th with Sunnyland Band & the Rock Candy Cloggers. The evening will kick off with a special Storytelling treat for the kids. Have the kids bring a homemade or personal instrument to the festival and join the show. Slim Harrison will have the kids playing the blues with him in no time. Accompanied by the Sunnyland Band, the Rock Candy Cloggers will deliver a show sure to get parents and kids alike up on their feet! Come on over to the Chesapeake Heritage and Visitors Center located in Kent Narrows where we will have face painting and refreshments available.
Concerts begin at 7 pm. The series is presented by the Queen Anne’s County Arts Council with the help of our Sponsors – the Queen Anne’s County Tourism Office and the Maryland State Arts Council. Bring blankets or chairs. Contact the Arts Council in the event of extreme weather conditions or alerts.
