The first car show of the 2015 season is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, and will benefit Compass Regional Hospice.
The rain-or-shine event is sponsored by the Kent Island Cruisers Car Club and is open to the public. The show will open at10:00 am at 152 Comet Drive in Centreville. Entrance to the event is free for all spectators, who may vote for their favorite vehicle.
Car show registration begins at 9:00 am the day of the car show; the registration fee for car owners is $10. The first 60 cars registered will receive a dash plaque. Trophies will be awarded at 2:00 pm to car participants selected by ballot vote.
The car show will feature a collection of hot rods, muscle cars, classic cars and trucks. Visitors to the car show will enjoy music throughout the day as well as food. Vendors will be selling jewelry, clothing, automotive items, and a variety of other products in support of Compass Regional Hospice. Other activities throughout the day will include door prizes and a 50-50 raffle.
Formerly Hospice of Queen Anne’s, Compass Regional Hospice was founded in 1985 to provide hospice care for the people of Queen Anne’s County. Today Compass Regional Hospice is the sole provider of hospice services for people of all ages in Queen Anne’s, Kent and Caroline Counties. Support groups, counseling and other grief support services are also available through the Compass Regional Hospice Hope & Healing Center.
