Kent Chamber Music’s first concert of 2015 takes place on Saturday, January 24, at 7 pm. Eclatante, a harp and flute duo, features Melissa Dvorak on harp and Julianna Nickel on flute. The duo will perform a wonderful program of works from the classical period to the twentieth century, including works by Persichetti, Boccherini, Rachmaninov, and Saint-Saens The concert will be held at Hotchkiss Recital Hall, Gibson Center for the Arts, Washington College, 300 Washington Avenue, Chestertown.

Melissa Dvorak
The harpist, Melissa Dvorak enjoys a vibrant and exciting career as busy harp soloist, chamber musician, orchestral player, and harp instructor. Her rich and varied orchestral experience has given her the opportunity to perform with the Baltimore Symphony, Washington National Opera, Fairfax Symphony, Alexandria Symphony, Maryland Symphony, the National Philharmonic, the Connie Francis Touring Band and the US Air Force Band and the American Pops Festival Orchestra. She released her CD entitled Lullabies for Lily in 2011.
Flutist Julianna Nickel performs all over the DC area and has played as a substitute with the National Symphony Orchestra, the Washington National Opera, and with the Mariinsky Theater Orchestra at the Kennedy Center as part of their North American tour. She also frequently performs at the National Cathedral and with many other freelance orchestras.
