Sobernation.com reports that Mexican drug cartels are now exporting fake Oxycontin. “A chemical analysis of the pills seized in New Jersey found they contained a combination of heroin, pharmaceutical morphine and fentanyl.”OxyContin is an opioid pain medication and is highly addictive. When prescribed OxyContin became more regulated, many sought heroin as a substitute. The US Department of Justice discovered that over 13 million individuals in the US used oxycodone (OxyContin) for recreational purposes.
