The Chestertown Recreation Commission and Music Life are proud to team up to present a very special winter wonderland movie presentation of the worldwide phenomenon Disney’s Frozen.
Too cold for outdoor movies in the park, the special edition Sing-A-Long version will be shown on Saturday December 13 at 4pm in the Upper Room at Music Life on High Street.
Kids will be able to sing with Princess Elsa and Olaf the Snowman with a bouncing snowflake, (as if many of them won’t already know all the words). Special prizes will be given away and as always for movie nights, costumes are encouraged.
Parents are encouraged to call ahead to let us know they are coming, and to bring pillows and blankets for little ones to sit on the floor.
Music Life at 241 High Street will be having a weekend of sales and special events to celebrate the season Dec 12-14. In addition to great sales throughout the music store, the school of music will offer a free drop in class teaching perspective students how to play a Christmas song on Ukulele or Guitar in 30 minutes. The hands on class is for learners of all levels and will be a fun a great way to break the ice in learning a new instrument. Guitars and Ukes will be available for the lesson, and will be on sale as well, just in case. The class will be geared for adults on Friday night at 6pm and a class just for kids will be offered at 1pm on Saturday.
Friday night, owner Bill Drazga will lead special guest musicians in an evening of festive Christmas music beginning at 7pm. On Sunday evening at 5pm, there will be a special advent service in the upper room with music and teaching about the Christmas season.
Sunday night after the service neighbors are encouraged to gather for caroling, if the weather permits around downtown Chestertown.
Music Life is located at 241 High Street and more info about the store and music lessons can be found at www.musiclifedelmarva.com or by calling 410-778-7010.
