New Chestertown Website Unveiled

October 8, 2014 by James Dissette

Share

Web designer Francoise Sullivan of Moo Productions in Worton unveiled her preliminary design for Chestertown’s new website. It looks to be engaging, simple to navigate, all inclusive for each facet of the community from town government to retail, and arts to restaurants. It also includes ways to directly communicate with the town government in general or council members specifically, has active graphic representations, and live time event updates. The platform will also work nicely on mobile devices. January is the target date for the new site, but may be up earlier.

The following video offers you a glimpse of a town moving into 21st Century media.

WOW, That’s awesome. I don’t think the ticket widget should be used in the case of emergencies like a water main break or gas leak, …though.
Maybe a list city emergency contact numbers on the page.

I want to commend Francoise and Moo Productions for doing a spectacular job on the website and bringing a level of innovation and engagement that is not matched by any other government website in the county. I hope the residents and visitors of Chestertown enjoy the new site when we launch it as much as I do.
