Chestertown RiverArts’ Clay Studio is moving to Chestertown! It will be hard to say goodbye to those beautiful Still Pond Creek sunsets and the wonderful folks at the Arts at Still Pond Station, but the perfect place has opened up on High Street and the move is on!
This exciting move would not have been possible without the diligent, hard work of Jessica Conor, our Clay Studio manager, and Marilee Schumann and Sandra Willett Jackson, our clay studio task force. They must have tromped through every rental space from Fountain Park to Suds ‘N’ Soda, and met with every realtor in town, but they finally found the space we’ve been looking for. We are confident that having RiverArts’ Clay Studio in a more easily accessible location will have more folks than ever getting their hands dirty, having fun and learning about art, craft and themselves.
You can be a part of this exciting new venture! We need volunteers to paint, build shelves, move equipment, and more. Are you a plumber? We need you. An electrician? We need you, too! Our first work call is this Friday, Sept. 12 and Saturday, Sept. 13. Please contact Jessica to sign up ([email protected])

Our new Clay Studio address is 204 High Street, where we’ll be in very good company with the Imperial Hotel next door and Massoni Art and Evergrain across the street. It’s going to be the coolest area in town!
