New ER at UM Shore Medical Readies for Opening

ERSean Perkins of Edgewater-based Beyond Signs helps install the new Emergency Department lighted sign at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Chestertown. The hospital and its contractors are
putting the final touches on the $4.3 million upgrade and renovation of the Emergency Department, scheduled to open later this month. The Grand Opening and Community Open House for the new ED is set for Tuesday, September 16, at 5 p.m.

    Which is to say Chester River will be a weigh station..
    A place for tele-medicine, tests and stabilizing on the way to Baltimore.
    Part of the plan for modern rural healthcare. Next is a helicopter bus.
