September 5, 2014 by The Mainstay

Guitarists at all levels of expertise are encouraged to bring their instrument to “Let’s Jam,” a guitar workshop given by a world-famous master guitarist Frank Vignola the afternoon of Saturday September 13 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Mainstay in Rock Hall, MD. Admission for the workshop is $20 cash or check payable to Frank Vignola. Reservations are requested.

The first half of this two hour workshop will concentrate on exercises and fingerboard study. In the second half, Frank and his duo partner Vinny Raniolo will teach some songs and then all will play together.

About the workshop, Frank Vignola says, “We’ll discuss, demonstrate, question, improvise and have a heck of a time.

Frank Vignola’s stunning virtuosity led guitar legend Les Paul to list Vignola on his “Five Most Admired Guitar List” for the Wall Street Journal. Vignola’s jaw-dropping technique explains why the New York Times deemed him “one of the brightest…stars of the guitar”.

Vignola has written 18 guitar instruction books for Mel Bay Publications and has recorded 10 Educational DVD’s for Truefire.com. He has performed hundreds of clinics and master classes at major universities and colleges throughout the world including Julliard and Boston University.

Vignola tours constantly and he is a Mainstay favorite for his stunning technique and entertaining stage show. He and Raniolo will give a duo concert at the Mainstay the evening of Saturday September 13.

The Mainstay (Home of Musical Magic) is the friendly informal storefront performing arts center on Rock Hall’s old time Main Street. It is a 501(c)(3), non profit dedicated to the arts, serving Rock Hall, MD and the surrounding region.

For information and reservations call the Mainstay at 410-639-9133. More information is also available at the Mainstay’s website https://www.mainstayrockhall.org.
