According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, an astounding 67 million American adults (31 percent) have high blood pressure. However, only about half (47 percent) of people with high blood pressure have their condition under control.
Area residents can get their blood pressure checked for free at the Centreville Farmers’ Market on Saturday, August 30, from 9 to 11 a.m. The Queen Anne’s County Health Department will be on site to conduct free blood pressure screenings at the market, which is located in downtown Centreville at Lawyers Row and Commerce Street.
The event is presented as part of the Health Living Series at the Centreville Farmers’ Market. For more information, contact Centreville Main Street at (410) 758-1180, ext. 17 or [email protected].
