Moms, Dads and bargain hunters, mark your calendars – downtown Chestertown’s annual Crazy Days begins Thursday, July 24 and runs through Saturday, July 26, with some shops carrying the specials into Sunday as well. Parking is free all three days. This sidewalk sale, one of the highlights of summer, is sponsored by the Downtown Chestertown Association.
Shoppers can find great deals on everything from shoes to men’s and women’s designer fashions, ,jewelry, home décor, books, art supplies, floral arrangements, and even musical instruments. There is plenty to keep the younger ones occupied, including free face painting, story telling and Garfield Playmaker’s interactive improv in Fountain Park. New this year, KidSPOT, next to RiverArts, offers free creative activities on Saturday. McGruff the Crime Dog will be on hand to make sure everyone is behaving. Don’t miss the chance to cheer on participants in the second annual Crazy Days Pie Eating Contest at 11 am in Fountain Park.
