Chestertown RiverArts’ popular children’s creativity center, KidSPOT, is partnering with the Chester River Association to bring environmental education activities to kids. Jenny Lee, our first CRA guest presenter, introduced water-quality tests, including pH, temperature, salinity, water clarity, and dissolved oxygen to test different liquids including river water, tap water, lemonade, and milk during her first visit on June 7. Jenny graduated from Washington College in 2013 and does environmental education and water-quality testing at CRA.
On Saturday, June 28, Jenny will return to KidSPOT to walk kids and their parents down to the Chester River to collect samples of water to test pH, temperature, salinity, water clarity, and dissolved oxygen, and to participate in waterside activities including a scavenger hunt.

KidSPOT is open to kids 2 to 12 years old with their parents on Saturdays from 10 to 2:00 free of charge. KidSPOT is located at 315 High Street, Suite 104, right behind Dunkin’ Donuts and next door to RiverArts.
