Organ Concert at Emmanuel Church May 16

May 11, 2014 by Emmanuel Church

Share

Emmanuel Church is proud to welcome the ever-popular Ken Cowan back to Chestertown for his nineteenth concert appearance at Emmanuel. He will play on May 16 at 7:30 pm.

A Curtis Institute trained organist, Mr. Cowan is currently a member of the faculty of the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University in Houston, Texas where he heads the organ program.

Ken Cowan is one of North America’s finest concert organists. Praised by audiences and critics alike for his dazzling artistry, impeccable technique, and imaginative programming, he performs frequently all over the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia. He has recorded performances on several different labels.

As many people know, Emmanuel Church’s Harrison and Harrison organ is arguably the most sophisticated organ on the Eastern Shore, and a favorite of concert organists from across the country.

Tickets, available at the door, are $20 per person, and include a reception of hors d’ouvres and wine after the concert.
