No Fooling! Playmakers Workshop First Friday Showcase

The Garfield Center for the Arts played host to the Playmakers’ After-School Workshop for the past month. Twice a week, Playmakers have played theatre games, explored scripts and rehearsed short scenes under the direction of Tess Hogans. Friday, April 4 Playmakers will showcase entertaining short plays on Kohl Lobby stage. Performances include scenes from plays by Christopher Durang, Edward Albee, David Ives and Sarah Ruhl. The 30 minute showcase will have two showings beginning at  5:15pm and 6pm. Admission is FREE – all ages are welcome!

Registration for our Playmakers Summer Camp is now open!

Summer Camp at the Garfield Center for the Arts is provided for youth in two different age groups. The summer camp program runs 5 weeks, culminating in an original final production that includes all participants.

Summer Camp 2014: July 7 – August 9

Mondays – Thursdays
Ages 8-10: 10:00am – 12:00pm
Ages 11-15: 2:00pm – 5:00pm

Fridays
Ages 8-10: 10:00am – 2:00pm
Ages 11-15: 1:00pm – 5:00pm

Final Productions: August 8 @ 7pm & August 9 @ 3pm
