University of Maryland Shore Regional Health is presenting the latest Ask the Expert Series, which will run April 3 through May 21 in locations throughout the region. These free programs offer residents an opportunity to meet and ask questions of physicians and other expert clinicians who provide services in our region.
Each presentation lasts about an hour, including an informative talk by an expert in a particular health care subject and a question-and-answer period. The “Ask the Expert” series is an ongoing program offered during the year in Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s and Talbot counties.
The wide range of topics covered by “Ask the Expert” includes the latest information about breast cancer surgery and recovery, prostate cancer, diabetes management, chronic pain management, the benefits of minimally invasive surgery and many more.
At the first presentation on April 3, Dr. Khalid Kurtom of Chesapeake Neurological Surgery, an affiliate of University of Maryland Shore Medical Group, will discuss “Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery.” The seminar begins at 7 p.m. at Dorchester County Library, 303 Gay Street, in Cambridge.
Seating is limited; attendees are asked to RSVP to Cathy Wright at 410-822-1000, ext. 5222 or [email protected].
