Kick into Mardi Gras season in the best possible way with a Masquerade Dance Party New Orleans’ style on Saturday, February 8th. Festivities start at 6:30pm with a gumbo dinner that will fuel an 8pm dance party, featuring fun, lively music of the Dixie Power Trio. King Cake will be delicious for dessert, thanks to the students in KCHS’ Culinary Arts program. Costumes and accessories are encouraged, student discounts and group ticket rates available. Now in its 3rd year, The Garfield’s Mardi Gras Fais Do Do is this is the best winter dance party in the region.
Dance the night away at Saturday night’s festive masquerade ball with The Dixie Power Trio, featuring horns, guitar and drum stylings that set an energized tone for the madness that is sure to follow. This annual dance party, appropriate for revelers of all ages, takes perfect advantage of the Garfield Center’s event capabilities –featuring theatrical expression in a community-friendly environment. Costumes, masques and accessories are encouraged.
The Lemon Leaf Café provides the gumbo. The King Cake dessert is made by students at Kent County High School’s Culinary Arts program which is raising funds to compete in a regional competition.
