Breast Center’s Gallery Wall Featured in New Exhibit

January 27, 2014 by UM Shore Regional Health

Share

The Art Gallery at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health’s Breast Center will begin its fifth year with an exhibit featuring photography by local artists. The new exhibit opens on Friday, January 24 and pieces will be on display through the end of March. The exhibit’s featured artists include Carl Rulis, Cal Jackson, Don and Glenda Stukey, Karen Lordi, Lin Layton, Steve Aprile, Sahm Doherty and George Holtzer.

An opening reception is scheduled for Friday, January 24 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Breast Center, which is located on the first floor of University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton, adjacent to Maggie’s Gift Shop. The reception is open to the public; after the reception, viewing of the exhibit will offered by appointment.

The Gallery Wall was created in 2009 by Breast Center staff and a committee of local artists and breast cancer survivors. The Breast Center hosts four shows throughout the year, one each quarter, in an effort to bring awareness to the location and services that are provided to the community by the Center.

For additional information about the Gallery Wall, contact Melissa Kelly, coordinator of the Breast Center, at 410-822-1000, ext. 5411. Information about breast health services provided by University of Maryland Shore Regional Health can be found at www.shorehealth.org/services/breastcenter.
