Sixth Grade Students at Kent School Host Coat Drive

November 24, 2013 by Kent School

Share

For four weeks in November and December, sixth grade students at Kent School are collecting clean, lightly-used winter coats, hats, gloves, and mittens. The drive will benefit Shared Opportunity Services in Chestertown. The students have decorated large cartons and have placed them in collection zones around the school.  One sixth grade student said, “The bins are filling up, and it makes us happy to know that people around us will be warmer this winter.”

Parents and friends of Kent School are encouraged to bring items of any size to school for donation.  Additional cartons are available for businesses that are interested in supporting the students’ coat drive. To place a carton at your place of business, email [email protected] or call 410-778-4100 ext. 12. All items collected will be delivered to Shared Opportunity Services by December 18.
