Mayor Candidate Arrowood at Community Breakfast Group Thursday

September 24, 2013 by Kent Community Breakfast Group

Share

Bill Arrowood has announced that he is running for Mayor of Chestertown this fall. Come meet Bill and hear what he will be trying to accomplish as Mayor at the Kent CBG meeting on Thursday, September 26.

The CBG meets for breakfast every Thursday at 7:30AM at the Holiday Inn Express in Chestertown.

Bill was born and raised in Chestertown. He has been active in our Community for many years. Most recently, he has served as Chair of the Chestertown Recreation Commission where he helped bring about the popular Movies in the Park series and the formation of the Chestertown Bocce League.

Among the agenda items and projects Bill hopes to work towards are improving sidewalk access and lighting from Morgnec & Flatland Roads, and improving recreational facilities. Other high priorities for Bill are evaluating and revising business conduct procedures to allow for better transparency in the process of the business of the Town and promoting a more positive business community. Having had preliminary meetings with those currently in leadership positions in town, he hopes to bring a more collaborative approach with Police, Public Works, Washington College and other local major stakeholders to be proactive, rather than reactive, towards the wellbeing of the town.
