Whether you work in pastels or acrylics, you won’t want to miss the opportunity to capture the beauty of an eastern shore fall by working in plein air with Lois Griffel October 7 -11. Lois was recently awarded Master Signature Member status by the American Impressionist Society, and we are fortunate to have her come to Chestertown this fall. Classes will be conducted at various locations around Kent and Queen Anne’s counties Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 4:00 PM with a break for lunch. A materials list will be provided at the time of registration.
In 1986, Lois succeeded her teacher Henry Hensche and became the third director of the Cape Cod School of Art. She is also the author of Painting Impressionist Color. Although now living in Arizona, Lois returns to Cape Cod and various other locations on the east coast every summer to teach. To learn more about her and her work, visit her website at www.loisgriffel.com.
She has agreed to teach at RiverArts this fall and share her expertise and enthusiasm with us. Class fee for nonmembers is $450.00 for the week. Members pay $400.00. Beginners as well as more advanced
students can benefit from this chance to study with a master.
