A Classic Rock-n-Roll Band – Bring Your Dancin’ Shoes!
Playing the hits from the ‘50s, ‘60s, ‘70s, and beyond – The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Jerry Lee Lewis, Tom Petty, Jimi Hendrix, and more.
Mike McBride (Vic) on bass and vocals, with Carl Peters, guitar and vocal; Joe Martone, keyboards and vocals; and Russ Reinacher on drums.
McBride is Eastern Shore born and bred. In the 1960s, he and his school friends won a Battle of the Bands contest in Fountain Park in Chestertown. Shortly thereafter, he headed out for Nashville where he played and toured with numerous bands and headliners, including Johnny Paycheck and Jethro Burns. Today he can be heard on six platinum and six gold records with various groups, perhaps most famously as a member of Paycheck’s band on the country hit song “Take this Job and Shove It” . This weekend, Saturday Aug 10, 2013, is your chance to hear Mike McBride in person in his current band Vic Vacuum and the Attachments, 7:00 pm in Fountain Park, downtown Chestertown, MD.
