Good news that our Eastern Shore representatives are recognized. They understand the needs on the Shore and will work to make sure we are heard. Good job Jay! Let me know how I can help. C. Sorge, Mayor of Betterton

The Eastern Shore is lucky to have two such competent leaders with such quality and political ability.
As leaders in the ongoing and everlasting Democratic majority in Annapolis, they will have their work cut out for them.
Go guys and do good things for the Eastern Shore and the state of Maryland.

“…leaders in the ongoing and everlasting Democratic majority”?
Au contraire!
In fact, Delegates Jacobs and Hershey are members of the “ongoing and everlasting” Republican minority in our state legislature.
And so long as 36th District voters continue to return them and other GOPs (Pipkin, Smigiel, etc.) to Annapolis, we on the Eastern Shore will continue to get the short end of the stick and the smallest piece of the pie.

As a member of neither of the ruling parties, I don’t see that the citizens of this state are faring particularly well under the present majority partisan leadership. The Eastern Shore has generally been considered an afterthought in Annapolis for decades anyway and it seems to me that as long as folks remain hardliners along party lines , We are ALL going to get the short end of the stick !!!!
