Mike Hoffman received his High School Diploma through the GED classes at the Family Center where he attended with his son Emerson. Mike left high school 13 years ago at age 15 and realized that a high school diploma is still attainable. Earning a diploma increases the odds that his children will finish school. The family Center is a parent and child school readiness program in Sudlersville. It is a Judy Center Partner, sponsored by the Board of Education and funded in part by MD Family network. Chesapeake College provides the GED and English classes.
Sarah Ronayne and other impressive students at Matapeake Middle were inducted into the Junior National Honor Society in January.
