The official Maryland Eastern Shore MONOPOLY Game Tournament will be held November 2, 2012 at the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce Building at 144 E. Main St. in Salisbury, MD. Sponsored by MCE, Inc., the tournament is sanctioned by Hasbro who owns Parker Brothers – the makers of the popular game..
The tournament will start on Friday, November 2nd at 6:00pm which includes a 90 minute preliminary round that each participant is required to play. The top 6 winners of that game will play in the final round to be held at the UMES Student Services Center on Saturday, November 3rd prior to the Gala. Proceeds from the event will benefit the MCE effort to assist micro-businesses on The Shore with business loans, education, and consulting.
The MONOPOLY game competition is one of many local tournaments held nationwide to assist non-profit organizations like MCE in raising funds for their causes.
The Gala will include a dinner; casino games; live band (THE BONEDADDYS); and a silent auction including valuable memorabilia, weekend getaways, jewelry, a Ravens package, an Orioles package, and more.
