Not only are there two well-known authors in town for downtown Chestertown’s First Friday (Robert Day at The Bookplate and Christopher Tilghman at the Kent County Public Library), but there are also two ribbon cuttings (Flow Salonspa and RiverArts), the premier presentation of ” The History of Kent County” at the Historical Society, a J.Hilburn men’s custom clothing trunk show at Mimi’s Closet as well as the usual fine array of new art exhibits, music and refreshments. Plan carefully, and you may be able to experience it all.

Bookplate: 6:30 pm. Robert Day reading from his latest book, Where I Am Now. 112 S Cross St.
Flow Salonspa: Ribbon cutting 5 pm. 305 High Street
History Happy Hour at the Geddes-Piper House: 4 to 6 pm premier presentation of The History of Kent County, produced by Stephen Frohock, and based on the interpretive narrative at the Geddes-Piper House. Wine, cheese, great discussions. 101 Church Alley.
Kent County Public Library: Christopher Tilghman signing and discussing his new book, The Right Hand Shore. Tickets required for his presentation- click here for more info
Mimi’s Closet: J. Hilburn Men’s Trunk Show 5 to 8 pm. Perfect timng for holiday or special occasion gift giving to the favorite man in your life 306 Cannon St.
RiverArts Grand Opening: 4:30 ribbon cutting. Open until 8 pm. Opening exhibit features the members’ best artwork and creations from our Clay Studio instructors and students. Suite 106 in the breezeway at 315 High Street.
