The Historical Society of Kent County is auditioning for a production celebrating the War of 1812. It will be a brief sketch, staged October 6 2012, featuring impersonations of Kent County historical figures, during their House Tour Celebrating the War of 1812.
They are looking for the following:
One female:
Kitty Knight –25-40 years old, tall, beautiful, determined citizen.
Five males:
Sir Peter Parker -– 25-35, handsome British naval officer
Admiral George Cockburn — haughty, skilled British naval officer
Black man of unknown identity and unknown age, who gave British incorrect information about local militia (did he intend to aid the British or the militia? we don’t know, nor do we know if he was free or enslaved)
Colonel Philip Reed — 45-65, distinguished and capable militia officer
Joseph Hopper Nicholson—40-60, wealthy, enthusiastic, dedicated militia officer.
