Lockbriar Ice Cream Barn to Open Saturday

July 20, 2012 by The Spy

Share

This Spy can’t wait to try out Lockbriar Farm’s peach ice cream; (we consider ourselves a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to that particular flavor). The Ice Cream Barn is set to open this Saturday, July 21; other flavors include vanilla, chocolate, blueberry and blackberry. Owner Wayne Lockwood told the Spy over the phone  that they were busy making rocky road and chocolate almond – which should also be ready for Saturday – more varieties forthcoming.

The ice cream barn has been in the planning stages for over a year, with Lockwood and daughter Jacqueline taking courses and testing recipes over the fall and winter.

Expect a further report once we have finished extensive  tastings.
