Downtown Gearing up for Crazy Days: July 26 – 28

Chestertown merchants are busy setting aside merchandise for Downtown Chestertown Association’s popular summer event, Crazy Days. The sidewalk sale begins Thursday, July 26 and runs through Saturday the 26th. There are plenty of activities for children, including facepainting by PattyCake the clown, and games and marital arts demonstrations in Fountain Park.(see full schedule below)

The town is offering Free Parking all three days, McGruff the Crime Dog will be walking the streets, and in additional to great deals in area restaurants, the Mt. Olive AME Church will be offering a variety of food at Fountain Park Friday through Saturday.

The New York Kosher-Style Deli is hosting the 2nd Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest at 1 pm in Fountain Park, with emcee Bill Blake. There will again be two separate contests; one for adults, one for children 16 and under, with prizes awarded to winners. Participants are urged to register in advance at the New York Deli- registration is limited- sign up early!

Thursday 26: 10am – 1 pm PattyCake the Clown & facepainting

Friday 27: 10am – 11am Parks & Rec games in Park
