The narcotics unit of the Kent County Sheriff’s Office arrested Darrell Eugene Wilson, 26, of Rock Hall for marijuana distribution and possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
The arrest was made on April 26 after Kent County Sheriff’s Narcotics Enforcement Team executed a search warrant of Wilson’s home on Rock Hall Avenue.
The search turned up “plastic bags containing approximately a quarter-pound of pot,” said a press release from the Sheriff’s Office. “Other packaging evidence recovered indicated that repackaging had been done on the premises.”
A minor amount of cocaine was seized along with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The investigation was led by Cpl. Sutton of the Rock Hall Police Department, who learned that Wilson was distributing pot from his residence.
Court records indicate Wilson has been in trouble multiple times with the law since 2003. Charges range from drug distribution and possession to assault and violation of probation.
Wilson was on probation when he was arrested last week. He is expected to appear for a preliminary hearing on May 24 in Kent County District Court at 8:45 am.
